warehouse stocker (head)

Job Summary

A vacancy exists in the Company for a Head Warehouse Stocker. The Head Warehouse Stocker is responsible for overseeing various aspects of the stocking of the warehouse, loading and offloading, operating the forklift and other warehouse duties as assigned.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assisting with offloading containers.
• Assisting with loading and offloading trailers and trucks for deliveries.
• Signing off on the distribution of goods during customer pick up and deliveries.
• Preparing orders for shipment.
• Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return.
• Stocking inventory (e.g. windows, doors, tiles).
• Displaying and moving old and new products throughout warehouse areas (once approved by management).
• Recording and managing all impaired or damaged merchandise items.
• Operating Forklifts and Trucks and other tools/machinery.
• Ensuring vehicles/forklifts/machinery are cleaned weekly.
• Ensuring vehicles/forklifts/machinery are checked daily.
• Assisting with training of newly employed workers.
• Performing light cleaning.
• Fill in for the duties of Head Warehouse Helper when Head Warehouse Helper is not present.
• Assisting in all areas of the warehouse.

Job Requirements:

• Five years’ experience working in a Warehouse or in Supply Chain
• Computer literacy.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Good organizational skills and leadership abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication.
